About us
Our story
Pioneer Valley Insulation began in 2009 in a Longmeadow garage, when Dan and Michael Ferrara got tired of watching homeowners pay to heat the outdoors. What started as a single truck and a rented thermal camera has grown into a full building-science team — but the promise hasn’t changed: we find where your heat is escaping, then we fix that exact spot.
Today we offer home energy audits, insulation installation, insulation removal and retrofitting, air sealing, moisture and vapor control, and additional home upgrades for homes across the Pioneer Valley and beyond. Every job starts with an infrared energy audit, so the work is aimed at the real leak instead of a guess by the square foot. Every job comes with a fixed-price written proposal, so you know exactly what you’re paying for before work begins.
We’re still family-owned, still obsessive about the details you never see once the drywall goes back up — and every installer who shows up at your door is a background-checked Pioneer Valley employee, not a subcontractor.
